Mark Abrams: Vie Francaise

I've loved this cover for a long time. The title type looks fantastic against the tile wall. The story, incidentally,involves a middle-aged French house-husband who cheats on his high-powered wife, the CEO of a jacuzzi company.

I've seen this one around too. that blue wall and relaxing pose really draws you in.

So much more powerfull than the original French cover...
I wish French publishing companies were more creative and take the US and UK covers as an example.

French publishers simply don't care or don't have the money. Also, French buyers are not sensitive to covers as some Americans are. I mean, look at the figures : 80% of sales are driven by popular fiction (our local S.King, N.Sparks...), and investing in a beautiful cover won't change a thing. Unfortunately.

For ou fellow Americans, just look at the top summer best sellers cover. Beware it may cause severe damage to your brain :
